Women’s volleyball season ends in 2 losses

The Northeastern University women’s volleyball team wrapped up its season last weekend with losses to the College of William & Mary and Elon University. Even though the season is over, morale remains high for the Huskies (6-25, 3-13 CAA).

In a battle with cross-town rival Boston University (BU), the Northeastern University (NU) men’s hockey team came up short this weekend, losing a back-and-forth affair on Friday at Agganis Arena. They fell to the Terriers again the following night at home, 4-1. The Huskies (1-7-1) have not won a game since their season-opener against Colgate on Oct. 10.

Two consecutive wins boosted the confidence of the Northeastern University women’s volleyball team, as the Huskies defeated James Madison University (JMU) and the University of Delaware. The women fell to Towson University on Sunday, but the performance earlier in the weekend was enough to keep playoff hopes alive.

With the 5-1 win, the Huskies extended their hot streak to five straight and improved their overall record on the season to 7-1-1. The team has a perfect 3-0-0 record against Hockey East opponents.
