With all the bad press about college athletes being suspended, team violations, drugs, rape, theft, and run-ins’ with police, where is our reporting about athletes who are true student athletes. I mean athletes who earn good grades and do the right things in life to make our University look good. I have not read one word about our athletes who make the academic all conference teams in their respective sport at NU. This fall we must have some athletes who made this honor for our school. What a refreshing article it would be to read, in light of all the negatives associated with college sports, as it is truely an honor for our athletes and our University to receive such recognition. Let’s not let BC, Harvard, and BU be the only schools in the area to promote their Academic All Conference athletes and give such distinction to their schools.
