Throughout the years, the food vendors located in the Curry Student Center have made numerous changes. Within the last two years, the Sushi and Noodle Bar has changed into Kashmir, which specializes in Indian cuisine. Burger King has been traded in for another burger joint, Wendy’s, but one place has remained the same for at least the past four years is D’Angelos.
Maybe the reason for this is because the deli offers a little more variety than the other dining facilities. If you’re opting for something healthy, they offer various salads like caesar, garden and chef, or if you want a sandwich, there are options that range from hot to cold.
Their prices aren’t too shabby either. For less than $4 a student can get a caesar salad stocked with plenty of greenery, croutons and parmesan cheese and they won’t even put a dent in their Husky Card. Although D’Angelos edged out the competition Pizza Hut, Kashmir, Wendy’s and Barnyard Chicken, Wendy’s was in a close second earning 40 percent of the vote, only 7 percent less than D’Angelos.
With their cheap prices, Wendy’s lines are always long. A student can get a three-course meal for under $4 and get free refills on their drinks. That’s definitely a bargain for any college student, especially when they’re not on co-op or unemployed.
D’Angelos is open Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
