ROW award goes to Volleyball’s Peterson Volleyball’s freshman setter Bree Peterson picked up her second America East Rookie of the Week honor after recording a career-high 70 assists in the Huskies 3-2 win over Harvard last week. Northeastern has now won four of the six Rookie of the Week honors as Peterson won the award the first week of the season and fellow freshman Kira Batura won back-to-back honors two weeks ago.

AE honors cross country’s Hicks Junior co-captain Amy Hicks was named the America East Performer of the Week after finishing second overall in the Quinipiac Invitational two weekends ago in Connecticut. Hicks’ perfomance, as well as the performances of her teammates, helped the Huskies win the Invitational. The win helped propel Northeastern to 18th in the New England Cross Country Coaches Poll. The Huskies were unranked before the win. After a week off, the women and men’s teams are geared up for the New England Championships which take place at Boston’s Franklin Park this Saturday at 12 p.m.
