She laughed when her friends referred to her style as “portable rock star,” but senior music industry major Chrissy Bulakites’ small height, bright red lipstick and dark-rimmed glasses may represent just that.
“I like to keep it simple and wear a lot of comfortable basics and then pile on a ton of accessories,” she said.
Bulakites said she is inspired by the laid-back but stylish look that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are usually seen sporting. She said she sees her own style as “contradictory,” a mash-up of casual clothing pieces drowned out by big, sometimes too big for her petite size, flashier accessories.
“I guess there’s a little but of like, punk rock, vintage, and also kind of laid back in my style,” she said.
