The Beanpot is an annual hockey tournament between Northeastern University, Boston University, Boston College and Harvard University. The tournament sells out every year as schools compete for bragging rights across town. Both men and women’s hockey compete each year.
Every men’s championship to date has featured either BC or BU, while Northeastern and Harvard have historically performed best in the women’s Beanpot. Each year the tournament is hosted at TD Garden.
Northeastern has won the men’s Beanpot four times, the last in 1988, and women’s 16 times, the last in 2013.
