11:28 p.m.
A student walked into Smith Hall and told the proctor she was under the influence of drugs and asked the proctor to call 911. A Northeastern University Division of Public Safety (NUPD) officer responded and reported that the student was conscious and alert. The student told the officer that she had smoked marijuana and hash. Boston EMS transported the student to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Monday, May 21
6:20 p.m.
A student reported that his mountain bike was stolen from the bicycle rack outside West Village A North.
6:47 p.m.
The Residence Director of 337 Huntington Ave. reported smelling the odor of a Class D drug. An officer spoke to a student who said his roommate and three friends were smoking prior to leaving the area.
Tuesday, May 22
6:50 p.m.
A student who lives at 51 Hemenway St. reported that she had an altercation with her roommate the previous night. She said she had not spoken to her roommate since the accident, she was not in need of medical attention and she was not in any immediate danger.
Wednesday, May 23
1:46 p.m.
A staff member reported a computer monitor was missing from 470 Dodge Hall. The staff member stated that the monitor did not have a PC theft tab attached to it.
1:55 p.m.
An officer reported a male entered International Village (INV) and went into the basement. The responding officer reported that man did not seem to fit in and appeared to have a tracking bracelet on his ankle. The 22-year-old man was found to have a criminal history and was on parole. Officers found and confiscated several needles from the bathroom. The man will be summonsed to court for trespassing.
8:14 p.m.
An officer stopped a vehicle that was being operated erratically and had almost struck the officer’s cruiser. The driver exited the vehicle and acted disorderly. Richard Guerrero, who has no university affiliation, was placed into custody for disorderly conduct. Two knives were found under the driver’s seat and were confiscated.
Thursday, May 24
4:10 p.m.
A student reported that her bike was stolen from the rack outside of Stearns Hall.
6:29 p.m.
A teaching assistant reported that his backpack had been stolen from a room in Churchill Hall, where he left it unattended earlier that day.
11:19 p.m.
A student reported that his laptop computer had been stolen from an office in Lake Hall.
Friday, May 25
Noon
A student reported that five females on the second-floor indoor quad of Curry Student Center (CSC) were playing loud music and swearing. In addition, a male and female were making out on the couch. She said that once the females noticed she was looking at them they started swearing at her. Feeling intimidated, she left the area. An officer responded to speak with the student while other officers checked CSC. An officer was informed that the group in question had left the area in an unknown direction. The student reported that she was not verbally threatened, but one of the females called her a name. At 2:10 p.m. the student reported that the group was back in CSC. Officers responded and spoke with two Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers students who admitted that they were involved in the earlier confrontation. The juveniles were given a warning.
Sunday, May 27
7:12 a.m.
A caller reported that a woman in her 30s wearing a flowered shirt was leaning on the fence at the intersection of Hemenway and Forsyth streets. Officers responded and reported that the woman, who had no university affiliation, was conscious but somewhat incoherent. Boston EMS responded and determined that the woman was healthy enough for a police transport to the Pine Street Inn.
Monday, May 28
1:50 p.m.
An officer stopped 51-year-old Raymond Bloodworth, who has no university affiliation, by Museum Road for marijuana and open alcohol container violations. Officers found that he had outstanding warrants for receiving stolen property, attempting to commit a crime and extortion by threat of injury. Bloodworth was placed into custody on those warrants. While searching Bloodworth, an officer found a small amount of crack cocaine and less than one ounce of a Class D substance.
11:31 p.m.
A security officer on the Camden Street footbridge reported two men were trying to gain access to the MBTA station through the exit turnstile on the footbridge and were harassing passersby. Officers responded and reported that two subjects fled toward Columbus Avenue. The officers stopped two males fitting the description in front of 610 Columbus Ave. One of the men was combative and refused to identify himself. The man, who was later identified as 18-year-old Mohamud Mohamed, struck an officer as the officer attempted to gain control of him. Mohamed was placed in custody. The other subject, a 19-year-old, was identified and released to his mother who had arrived on the scene. He will be summonsed to court.
Tuesday, May 29
2:15 p.m.
A student reported that her iPhone was stolen from a cubicle on the third floor of Snell Library, where she left it unattended 20 minutes earlier.
8:40 p.m.
A student reported that his bicycle, which had been secured with a cable lock that morning, was stolen from the bicycle rack outside of Shillman Hall.
Thursday, May 31
2:25 a.m.
A resident of 337 Huntington Ave. said he heard neighbors being loud and possibly jumping on a bed. An officer responded and spoke to the neighbors, who agreed to quiet down for the night.
3:25 p.m.
A student reported that his unattended bike bag was stolen from the second floor of CSC near the game room.
4:45 p.m.
An employee of Subway in Ryder Hall reported that $25 of her personal cash was stolen that afternoon from the front counter of Subway, where she left it unattended.
7:33 p.m.
A student reported that someone stole his girlfriend’s iPhone from the second floor of CSC. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.
7:37 p.m.
A student reported that he left his bicycle, accompanied by an unlocked U-lock, against the fence on World Series Way by the Forsyth Building between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m. When he returned, the bike was missing.
Friday, June 1
9:35 a.m.
An officer on patrol reported that a vending machine on the fourth floor of Snell Library appeared to be damaged.
11:09 p.m.
The Boston Police Department responded to a call for a woman being beaten behind Papa John’s on Tremont Street. Officers found blood on the ground but no one in the area. BPD located the victim, who has no university affiliation. The victim was suffering from a head wound and was transported to Boston Medical Center.
Sunday, June 3
2:43 a.m.
A student in West Village A reported that his roommate was intoxicated and not feeling well. An officer responded and found the student disoriented but conscious. Boston EMS responded and determined the student did not need immediate medical attention.
ENTRY OF THE WEEK
5:17 p.m.
A student reported that three males wearing scarves and masks on their faces were trying to break into Chicken Lou’s. The student stated that one man was tugging on the front door while the other two were hiding around the building. An officer stopped the three Northeastern students, who said that they were playing a prank on a friend and did not realize their behavior was suspicious. The male who was tugging on the door to the building was trying to find a place to hide in order to scare the friend. The students were given a warning.
6:16 p.m.
A student reported that her laptop and iPod were missing when she returned to her room in Smith Hall. There were no signs of forced entry.
Monday, June 4
11:59 a.m.
A faculty member reported that his iPhone was stolen from the Dunkin’ Donuts in Hayden Hall, where he left it unattended between 9:00 and 9:15 a.m.
2:25 p.m.
A staff member from Argo Tea reported a student attempted to purchase items with counterfeit money. The male student said he received the money from the Kaplan Institute in Harvard Square. An officer responded and confiscated two $20 bills that appeared to be counterfeit.
4:12 p.m.
A Chartwells manager reported finding a marijuana pipe in the men’s restroom at the International Village dining hall. An officer responded and disposed of the pipe.
8:14 p.m.
A staff member at the Marino Center reported that a student’s wallet, sweatshirt and apartment keys were stolen from an unlocked locker between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m.
