Tuesday, July 3
10:36 a.m.
A manager at Wollaston’s in the Marino Center reported that a shoplifter left the store and was walking toward Huntington Avenue. An officer stopped the suspect in front of Qdoba. The man had taken a 20-ounce soda from the store but gave it back when confronted. He will be summonsed to court.
3:34 p.m.
A student reported that her unattended wallet was stolen from Snell Library. The wallet contained $100 in cash and $50 in gift cards.
9:22 p.m.
The Boston Police Department (BPD) reported possible shots fired near 50 Annunciation Road. The caller could not give any description except that it sounded like several shots were fired and followed by screeching tires. BPD reported finding a vehicle with several bullet holes and shell casings in front of 80 Annunciation Road.
11:19 p.m.
A student on Columbus Avenue near Camden Street reported that his friend, also a student, had consumed too much alcohol and needed medical attention. An officer requested EMS for the student, who was unresponsive but breathing. The officer noted that the student fell and struck his head on the curb, although he was not bleeding. Boston EMS transported the student to Boston Medical Center.
11:32 p.m.
The building manager of 604 Columbus Ave. approached an officer and reported that there were students having a loud party in an apartment in the building. The officer spoke with a resident of the apartment, a Northeastern student. The student was cooperative and cleared everyone out of his apartment for the evening. Officers went into the building a second time and cleared a different group of people who were on the roof.
Wednesday, July 4
2:16 a.m.
Two males were reportedly fighting in front of 136 Hemenway St. Responding officers found an alumnus and two current students involved in a verbal altercation. The officers spoke with the men and sent them away with a warning.
8:25 p.m.
A security officer reported a broken glass door at the rear entrance of the Columbus Parking Garage. An officer responded and reported that a pane of glass was broken and appeared to have been kicked.
Thursday, July 5
11:57 a.m.
Staff members at the Snell Library circulation desk reported an irate female was yelling that she was being stalked by a professor. An officer spoke with the woman, an alumna who said she was being stalked. A man entered the area where she was sitting in the library, and she accused him of stalking her. Officers reported that the woman was loud and could have had a psychological emergency. Boston EMS transported her to Tufts Medical Center for further evaluation.
Friday, July 6
1:01 a.m.
An officer stopped a man with no university affiliation on Ruggles Street in front of Sweeney Field. The man was being sought by BPD for a domestic incident that had occurred earlier in the evening. BPD responded and took the man into custody.
12:05 p.m.
A student reported that $3,200 in a small brown envelope was stolen from inside her purse while she was either on the MBTA service or in the Marino Center. The student also planned to file a report with the Transit Police.
5:11 p.m.
A proctor in West Village C reported that a suspicious older man was trying to gain access to the building and refused to provide a name or any identification. Responding officers spoke with the man who has no university affiliation. He said he was living at a halfway house on Huntington Avenue and did not know the area so he had become lost. Officers escorted the man to the halfway house at 307 Huntington Ave. and advised him to stay out of Northeastern buildings.
Saturday, July 7
3:22 a.m.
Officers stopped a man and a woman involved in a domestic dispute at the intersection of Hemenway and Forsyth streets. The incident started on Arch Street, continued on St. Stephen Street in front of the Fenway Center and ended on Forsyth Street where officers intervened. One of the subjects is a Northeastern student. BPD responded and assumed jurisdiction. The man was placed under arrest for domestic assault and battery. The woman was escorted to a friend’s residence for the evening. BPD stated that the female may be summonsed to court for domestic assault and battery.
5:27 p.m.
A man with no university affiliation reported that his iPhone was missing after it fell from his pocket near the benches in front of 337 Huntington Ave. He was instructed to also file a report with BPD.
Sunday, July 8
2:07 a.m.
An officer stopped three students who pulled a Boston traffic sign from the ground on Parker Street near the entrance to Sweeney Field. BPD responded and declined jurisdiction.
4:17 a.m.
A proctor in White Hall reported that a woman requested police, then left and was waiting in front of the building. Responding officers found a University of Massachusetts student who reported that she was held against her will in a vehicle for approximately two hours by someone she knows. She jumped from the vehicle in front of White Hall. BPD arrived and assumed jurisdiction. Boston EMS also responded because the victim said she was beaten by the suspect, but she was not transported.
Monday, July 9
10:19 a.m.
A professor requested that a student be removed from his class in Richards Hall. Responding officers spoke with the faculty member, who said that during class a student attempted to discuss a bad grade. The student became agitated and started cursing at the professor. The faculty member only wanted the student removed from the class for the day. The student left without further incident.
10:21 a.m.
A manager at Wollaston’s in the West Village Quad approached an officer to report that the ex-boyfriend of one of his employees was sitting on a bench in front of the store and refusing to leave. The man had allegedly been stalking his ex-girlfriend and had assaulted her the previous week. An officer spoke with the man, who has no affiliation with the university and said that he wanted to speak with his ex-girlfriend. The man refused to leave and became agitated. The officer attempted to give the man a trespass warning. When the man became disorderly, the officer took him into custody. During transportation, the man repeatedly banged his head off of the partition in the vehicle. At 3 p.m., BPD reported that the subject was transported to Tufts Medical Center for evaluation after he attempted to harm himself. An NUPD officer was sent to guard the man at the hospital. At 11:30 p.m., the man was transferred to the Dr. Solomon Carter Fuller Mental Health Facility.
11:04 a.m.
A staff member at Columbus Place reported that she had received harassing phone calls from an unknown male caller.
12:46 p.m.
A staff member in Lake Hall reported that his cellphone was missing from his unsecured office.
Tuesday, July 10
9:31 a.m.
A student reported that her cell phone was stolen from her backpack as she used a printer in the Curry Student Center (CSC). A suspect was last seen going downstairs to the ground floor. Officers searched the area but could not locate the suspect.
11:48 a.m.
A manager at Wollaston’s in the Marino Center reported that he detained a shoplifter. The 16-year-old shoplifter was given a trespass warning.
12:15 p.m.
A student reported that she had put her backpack down at a table in Boloco on Huntington Avennue and when she returned, her backpack was missing but another was in its place. A responding officer reported that the backpack that was left behind was empty. The missing backpack contained a MacBook Pro laptop, a Coach wristlet and a Blackberry.
3:51 p.m.
A student’s parent informed an officer that the bumper of his vehicle was scratched while parked in the Columbus Parking Lot from Sunday, July 8, at 7:30 a.m. to Tuesday, July 10, at 3:30 p.m.
4:27 p.m.
A graduate student reported that his thesis notebooks containing sensitive information were stolen from a room in the Mugar Life Sciences Building. The student has a backup file of the information.
Wednesday, July 11
12:49 p.m.
A student reported that his bicycle was missing from a stair post on the St. Botolph Street side of Matthews Arena, where he had left it secured by a cable lock at around 9:15 a.m.
1:33 p.m.
A student reported that his bicycle was missing from a fence in the Robinson Quadrangle in front of Hurtig Hall, where it had been chained.
5:43 p.m.
An alumnus reported that he had accidentally left his wallet in the men’s room in Snell Library. When he returned 30 minutes later, the wallet was gone.

12:09 p.m.
A student reported that a musical keyboard was stolen from CSC.
Friday, July 13
10:55 p.m.
A student in 650 Columbus Ave. reported that an unknown middle-aged man who she did not know was banging on her door. A responding officer reported that the man appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Boston EMS responded and transported the man to Boston Medical Center.
Saturday, July 14
12:30 a.m.
A student in West Village H reported loud noise in the area. An officer spoke with a second student who was cooperative and agreed to keep the noise down.
5:57 a.m.
A Building Services employee reported that a man was sleeping in the basement of 106 St. Stephen St. Responding officers reported that it was a student and that he was intoxicated. Boston EMS responded and transported the student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. A residence director (RD) was notified.
11:37 a.m.
A student reported that BMW emblems were taken off her vehicle in the Renaissance Parking Garage. A responding officer reported that the vehicle had been parked there since Thursday, July 12.
5:39 p.m.
An officer stopped a 19-year-old student at 103 Hemenway St. who had an open container of alcohol. The student dumped the alcohol and was sent on her way.
Sunday, July 15
2:03 a.m.
A student at 650 Columbus Ave. requested an evaluation for a friend who was intoxicated. Responding officers reported that the student was conscious but disoriented. Boston EMS transported the student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. An RD was notified.
1:58 p.m.
A proctor in Willis Hall reported that a student was trying to sign in an alumnus who is banned. The alumnus said he is not the same person on the list. NUPD checked a copy of the ban letter but it provided no identifying information. The alumnus was told to contact the Residential Safety Office on Monday to clear the matter and was sent on his way after he refused to sign a trespass warning.
3:23 p.m.
An officer patrolling the Renaissance Park Garage observed a 13-year-old female and a 16-year-old male engaged in an indecent act. Officers stopped the two juveniles and transported them to NUPD headquarters, where their parents and guardians were contacted. The boy was charged with statutory rape.
4:45 p.m.
A resident assistant (RA) in 319 Huntington Ave. reported a strong odor of marijuana. Responding officers spoke with a Northeastern student and a student from another school. An officer confiscated an ounce of a Class D substance, an electronic scale, baggies and a marijuana pipe.
