Officers stopped two underage students in possession of alcohol in front of 122 St. Stephen St. Officers confiscated 23 bottles of wine and six handles of Rubinoff vodka.
Monday, Oct. 22
9:31 a.m.
A student reported that she has been receiving harassing text messages from a male who identified himself as “Henry.”
10:27 a.m.
A manager of Wollaston’s in the Marino Center reported that he detained a shoplifter. A responding Northeastern Division of Public Safety (NUPD) officer found that the shoplifter, a student, had attempted to steal a bottle of orange juice. The student was banned from both Wollaston’s and will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (OSCCR).
10:42 a.m.
A director of the Hillel House reported that a university-owned table was stolen from the religious hut on Speare Place between Oct. 7 and Oct. 10. Facilities confirmed that they did not take the eight foot long folding table.
6:01 p.m.
A student reported that his unattended skateboard was stolen from Forsyth Circle.
Tuesday, Oct. 23
1:30 p.m.
A student reported that she received harassing emails from her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend, who has no university affiliation.
5:48 p.m.
A student reported via email that her boyfriend, also a student, broke into her apartment and beat her up over the weekend. A Resident Director (RD) assisted in securing a safe room for the victim.
Wednesday, Oct. 24
9:23 a.m.
A student reported that he believed his wallet fell out of his bag while at the Starbucks in Curry Student Center (CSC) and that someone may have picked it up.
10:37 a.m.
A student reported that he left his calculator in a classroom in Robinson Hall and when he returned, it was gone.
12:57 p.m.
A student reported that his unattended cellphone was stolen from CSC.
8:07 p.m.
A student reported that her wristlet wallet was stolen from the third floor of Snell Library.
9:24 p.m.
Boston Police Department (BPD) reported that they were looking for a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on Warwick Street. The suspect had motioned to the victim, a Suffolk University student, that he had a firearm and demanded the victim’s wallet. An NUPD officer stopped two males at Ruggles street and Cabot Street fitting the suspect’s description and BPD was notified. One of the suspects was found to be in possession of the victim’s Charlie Card. Officers located the victim’s wallet at Raynor Circle. The victim was not hurt and refused medical attention.
Thursday, Oct. 25
11:29 a.m.
A staff member at Au Bon Pain in the Marino Center reported that a man had attempted to steal a bottle of Nantucket Nectar juice. The man was banned from Au Bon Pain and sent on his way with a warning.
Friday, Oct. 26
1:12 a.m.
BPD responded to 214 Hemenway St. for a report of a loud party. BPD placed a student into custody for disorderly conduct.
12:08 p.m.
An RD in White Hall reported smelling a strong odor of marijuana after she and an RA had entered a room to conduct a health and safety inspection. The RD and RA left the area. Responding officers reported finding the resident of the room and his friend, who has no university affiliation. Officers confiscated a large amount of marijuana, a grinder, a scale and two empty bottles of alcohol. The student’s friend was banned from all university property and signed a trespass notice. At 5:41 p.m., the student was served with an interim suspension and residential hall ban letter. The student packed a bag and headed home.
2:44 p.m.
An officer reported that the owner of Giovanni’s Market was chasing three males who had stolen from the store down Northampton Street. A Longwood Security officer detained one of the suspects. The other two suspects were last seen running down Camden Street towards Shawmut Avenue. BPD responded and assumed jurisdiction.
7:40 p.m.
Officers stopped two underage students and confiscated a bottle of Bacardi rum and a bottle of Jose Cuervo. The students will be reported to OSCCR.
7:41 p.m.
Officers stopped two underage students and a 21-year-old student, who had procured alcohol for the minors, in front of 87 St. Stephen St. Officers confiscated a 30-pack of Miller High Life and a 30-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. The students will be reported to OSCCR and the student who procured the alcohol will be summonsed to court.
10:05 p.m.
Officers stopped two underage Wentworth Institute of Technology students near 33 Symphony Road. Officers confiscated one liter of Captain Morgan rum, a quarter-ounce of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, seven Bud Light beers and a bottle of Smirnoff vodka.
10:21 p.m.
Officers stopped three underage students for open alcohol containers. The students were instructed to dump out the contents and sent on their way. The students will be reported to OSCCR.
10:36 p.m.
Officers stopped three underage students and confiscated a bottle of Barefoot wine, a bottle of Smirnoff vodka and seven cans of Coors Light. The students will be reported to OSCCR.
11 p.m.
Officers stopped an underage student with an open container of alcohol in front of 6 Symphony Road. The alcohol was dumped and the student was sent on his way. The student will be reported to OSCCR.
11:06 p.m.
Officers stopped an underage student on Speare Place. Officers confiscated a bottle of Bacardi Limon, a bottle of Makers Mark whiskey, a bottle of Barefoot champagne, a bottle of Jose Cuervo and a bottle of Captain Morgan rum. The student will be reported to OSCCR.
11:30 p.m.
Officers stopped an underage student behind 74 Symphony Road for public urination. Officers confiscated 11 cans of Keystone Light. The student will be reported to OSCCR.
11:45 p.m.
Officers stopped six people with no Northeastern affiliation on the front steps of 69 Gainsborough St. Officers confiscated two five-liter boxes of wine.
Saturday, Oct. 27
12:32 a.m.
A student in Stetson West reported that a 19-year-old student was intoxicated, vomiting and not responding to knocking on his door. An RA was paged to unlock the door. Responding officers reported that the student may have fallen out of his bed and made a forced entry into the room. The officers reported that the student was conscious and semi-alert but may have been injured when he fell from his bed. Boston EMS transported the student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The RD was notified. The student will be reported to OSCCR.
1:26 a.m.
An officer was flagged down regarding loud music coming from 74 Symphony Road. Officers entered the building and spoke with two students who cooperated and turned down the music.
1:43 a.m.
Harvard University Police reported that they had transported a 20-year-old female Northeastern student to the Mount Auburn Hospital for intoxication. The student’s RD on duty was notified. The student will be reported to OSCCR.
1:52 a.m.
A student reported that an 18-year-old student was intoxicated and vomiting at 1021 Tremont St. Boston EMS transported the student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The student will be reported to OSCCR.
2:09 a.m.
While on scene at 1021 Tremont St. officers requested BPD to come concerning a loud party. NUPD officers cleared the party before BPD arrived.
2:19 a.m.
An officer was flagged down in front of Our House East for a possible fight. The subjects fled upon the officer’s arrival. Later, the primary aggressor in the earlier fight returned and began to yell at the officers. The individual was told to leave and, after much yelling and posturing, left the area.
2:38 a.m.
A proctor told an RA in West Village A that an intoxicated male had been carried into the building by other males. Responding officers requested Boston EMS for a 19-year-old student who was conscious but not alert. Boston EMS transported the student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The RD was notified and the students will be reported to OSCCR.
3:15 a.m.
An officer spoke to an intoxicated female at 121 St. Stephen St. who was conscious and semi-alert but unable to walk and spitting up. Boston EMS transported the 22-year-old student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The RD was notified.
7:29 p.m.
Officers stopped an underage student and a 21-year-old student in front of Davenport B. The 21-year-old procured a bottle of Smirnoff vodka and a 40 ounce bottle of Private Stock beer, which was handed to the underage student. The alcohol was confiscated. The students will be reported to OSCCR and the student who procured the alcohol will be summonsed to court.
7:41 p.m.
An officer reported that there was an intoxicated male at the entrance of Ell Hall. An officer reported that the male was not alert and was unsteady on his feet though conscious. Boston EMS transported the 19-year-old student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The RD was notified and the student will be reported to OSCCR.
9:26 p.m.
Officers stopped two students in front of 71 Gainsborough St. Officers confiscated a 30-pack of Bud Light, a handle of Rubinoff vodka and a handle of Smirnoff vodka after one of the students, who is over 21, passed the alcohol to his underage brother. The students will be reported to OSCCR and the student who procured the alcohol will be summonsed to court.
9:59 p.m.
Officers stopped a student with an open container of alcohol in front of 291 Huntington Ave. The student dumped the alcohol and was sent on his way with a warning.
10:11 p.m.
Officers stopped a student with an open container of alcohol in front of 103 Hemenway St. The student dumped the alcohol and was sent on her way with a warning.
10:17 p.m.
Officers stopped two students in front of 96 Gainsborough St. One of the students had procured a bottle of whiskey for the other student, who was underage. The alcohol was confiscated. The students will be reported to OSCCR and the student who procured the alcohol will be summonsed to court.
10:18 p.m.
Officers stopped a Boston English High student in front of 27 St. Stephen’s St. for an open container of alcohol. The subject dumped the alcohol and was sent on his way with a warning.
Sunday, Oct. 28
12:21 a.m.
Boston EMS contacted NUPD and reported that they were responding to a room in International Village for an intoxicated female. Responding officers reported that the 18-year-old student was conscious but not alert. Boston EMS transported the student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The RD on duty was notified. The student will be reported to OSCCR.
1:01 a.m.
A bouncer at Darryl’s Bar flagged down an officer regarding a man in a yellow costume who broke a car window. The subject was last seen walking down Columbus Avenue towards the park. Officers stopped a man with no university affiliation at the corner of Camden Street and Columbus Avenue. BPD was notified and assumed jurisdiction. BPD will summons the suspect to court.
1:14 a.m.
An RA in White Hall reported that there was an intoxicated 18-year-old student vomiting. Responding officers reported that the student was conscious, alert and did not require medical attention. The student will be reported to OSCCR.
2:43 a.m.
An RA in Speare Hall reported that there was an intoxicated female in the men’s bathroom. Responding officers spoke with the 18-year-old student, who had been drinking but was conscious, alert and did not require medical assistance. The student signed a medical waiver and returned to her residence. The student will be reported to OSCCR.
3:21 a.m.
An officer reported hearing three to four shots fired in the area of Columbus Avenue. BPD reported that “shot spotter” had picked up shots fired at 1050 Tremont St. NUPD officers responded and reported a man had been shot in the head. Boston EMS and BPD were notified. BPD responded and assumed jurisdiction. Boston EMS transported the victim to Boston Medical Center. The victim has no university affiliation.
3:26 a.m.
A proctor in Willis Hall reported that a student signed in three males, one of whom was intoxicated and being carried into the building. Responding officers spoke with the 19-year-old student who was semi-conscious, not alert and vomiting. Boston EMS transported the student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The RD was notified. The students will be reported to OSCCR.
11:02 a.m.
An officer reported that a green letter “K” had been spray painted onto the engraved bricks in Centennial Common next to a large rock that has similar colored Greek lettering on it.
11:26 p.m.
A student reported that he was jumped by four male teenagers in the Fens. One of the teenagers displayed a knife. They stole the student’s black iPhone 3GS. Responding officers checked the area but could not locate any suspects. BPD was notified.
Monday, Oct. 29
1:11 a.m.
BPD requested that NUPD respond to a loud party at 214 Hemenway St. Officers spoke with three students after BPD had broken up the large party and dispersed the crowd. The students will be reported to OSCCR.
1:22 a.m.
A student reported loud music coming from an apartment at 204 Hemenway St. Responding officers spoke to two students who were very cooperative and agreed to turn the music down.
5:52 a.m.
A staff member reported that there was a young male possibly sleeping on the front steps of the Dana Farber Research center. Responding officers reported that the 20-year-old student was intoxicated and not alert though conscious. Boston EMS transported the student to Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The RD was notified. The student will be reported to OSCCR.
