No Limits Dance Crew recruiting dancers
NU’s No Limits Dance Crew is recruiting dancers and choreographers of all experience levels for this semester, according to an announcement on the myNEU portal. There will be a meeting along with a free belly dancing class today, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Curry Student Center Dance Studio. First Class Council meeting tomorrow in Curry
The first official meeting for the Class Council of 2012 will be tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. in 348 Curry Student Center, according to an announcement on the myNEU portal. Public Safety Division offers self defense classes
Female students can register for self defense classes run by the Public Safety Division, according to an announcement on myNEU portal. Instructors are all trained and certified to teach the Rape Aggression Defense System, designed to help women defend themselves against attack and rape. There will be three four-hour classes in the Stetson East Living and Learning Center beginning in October. Workout clothing is required, and classes will cost $10 total. Free Google Apps training in Snell Library
On Wednesday, September 23 at 11:45 a.m. in 145 Snell Library there will be a free Google Applications training workshop for students, according to the Resident Student Association blog. The new use of Google Applications for student e-mail, calendar and document sharing offers new features such as chatting with other students. Those interested can register at infoservices.neu.edu/training.
