A staple of Boston’s North End, Mike’s Pastry is a famous Italian bake shop known for its multiple flavors of cannoli, tiramisu and classic pastries such as lobster tails. A line out the door can be expected on any given night, and the pastry shop will ship cannoli, cookies, pies and gift baskets from their online store. Caffe Mikes, a coffee shop, occupies the lobby of the store. Mike’s Pastry is a cash only establishment that has been open for 68 years. In January of 2014 it was reported that the pastry shop may open a second location across the Charles River at 11 Dunster St. in Harvard Square.
