Several Northeastern University teams make their home at Cabot Center, including women’s basketball and volleyball. Named for Godfrey Lowell Cabot, founder of the Cabot Corporation, Cabot is built on the site of the old Huntington Avenue Grounds, location of the first ever Word Series in 1903. Solomon Court, inside Cabot, was dedicated to long-time fan Bernard Solomon in 2000 and serves as the practice facility for men’s basketball. Cabot also features the Solomon Indoor Track and holds the Barletta Natatorium. Cabot, located across the street from the Marino Center, also features two racquetball courts and an indoor soccer field. It is the home of the Student-Athlete Support Services offices and holds a computer lab, conference room and classroom for student athletes to study.
