Op-ed: Coach Madigan’s letter to the DogHouse

Jim Madigan

Dear DogHouse,

I wanted to reach out and thank each and every one of you for your tremendous enthusiasm at last Thursday’s game against Boston University. Your energy was palpable from the opening puck drop to the final second of overtime, on a Thursday no less!

Our team wholeheartedly believes you are the best fans in college hockey. Time and again you continue to come out to Matthews Arena in support of our men’s hockey program, and we truly appreciate your passion for Northeastern.

We have a massive Homecoming Weekend coming up as we host Connecticut on Friday night and UMass Lowell on Saturday night with crucial Hockey East points on the line. Once again, we need you in the building bringing the noise. Tickets are FREE to students through your myNortheastern account and we have some very exciting promotions in store for the weekend, including Fan Fest in the Matthews parking lot on Friday night!

Again, thank you so much for your support of the men’s ice hockey program, and we look forward to seeing you right back here at Matthews Arena this weekend!

Go Huskies!

Jim Madigan, Fernie Flaman Men’s Hockey Coach
