Friday, January 25 6 p.m. Officers found a 20-year-old male student and a 19-year-old male former student arguing in front of Northeastern University Division of Public Safety (NUPD) headquarters. Officers broke up the fight, which had started about a girl whom they’d both had relations with. Neither was injured or wanted to press charges. The student will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (OSCCR). NUPD suggested that the former student leave campus.

11:30 p.m. Residence Life staff in Melvin Hall reported vandalism in a men’s bathroom and a women’s’ bathroom, as well as a smoke detector in a corridor that had been tampered with.

Saturday, January 26 12:15 a.m. A 21-year-old female assistant building manager at Curry Student Center (CSC) reported seeing a 19-year-old male and a 21-year-old male drinking from what appeared to be beer cans. When she asked them to leave, one threw a beer can at the door. Officers located the two men on Forsyth Street, identified them as Emmanuel College students and reported them to the dean of students.

2 a.m. An officer on patrol saw a man and woman in an alley on Coventry Street. The 21-year-old male student was urinating, and, when the officer approached, was extremely uncooperative. He produced his ID, and was found to have a prior liquor law violation on campus in September. The male will be reported to OSCCR. The woman was not involved.

3 a.m. Boston Police responded to a call about a violent argument at an apartment on Gainsborough Street. Boston officers and NUPD found a male and female student couple arguing at the girlfriend’s privately leased apartment. After being questioned separately, each student revealed they had hit each other. Boston Police arrested each student under domestic violence protocols in Massachusetts. Both students were also reported to OSCCR.

4 p.m. A male student reported to a Marino Center staff member that a male graduate student approached him in the men’s locker room, exposed himself and solicited him to have sex. The student refused. Marino Center staff called NUPD who identified and questioned the graduate student. The graduate student was arrested and will be reported to OSCCR.

Sunday, January 27 12:30 a.m. NUPD responded to noise complaints about a loud party in an apartment at Douglas Park. The officers dispersed the party attendees, who were cooperative and orderly as they left. The residents, two 19-year-old male students and a 20-year-old male student, admitted to having a beer ball at the party. Officers also confiscated vodka and beer cans. When one resident showed the officers identification, they found it was not his own, but his older brother’s. All three residents will be reported to OSCCR.

2 a.m. NUPD responded to a call at 110 St. Stephen St. concerning an argument between a 20-year-old female student and her 31-year-old boyfriend, who does not attend Northeastern. The student said she locked herself in the bathroom when her boyfriend refused to leave her apartment. The boyfriend received a warning not to come back to campus.

10 a.m. A 20-year-old female student got a call informing her that her wallet was turned into the lost and found. The wallet was missing $60. Inventory discovered she had her 24-year-old sister’s driver’s license. She will be reported to OSCCR.

1:30 p.m. NUPD responded to a call from Snell Library that a suspicious 22-year-old male, who signed in as a guest, used a public access computer for unauthorized purposes and had visited inappropriate websites.
