With more than 30,000 runners, 500,000 spectators and 9,000 volunteers over the course of 26.2 miles, the 129th Boston Marathon represented the heart and persevering spirit of the city. Clear sunny skies, light winds and boisterous cheers boosted runners to cross the iconic finish line.
