The Huskies dropped their last regular season game, 77-63 at Hartford ending the regular season by losing their last six contests.
The Hawks, ranked eighth in the America East, upset the higher ranked Huskies heading into Thursday’s America East tournament. Four players netted double digits in scoring. Francisca Vanin (13), Joi Jefferson (10), Aisha Williams 10 and Catarina Andersson (11) all helped NU’s cause, but a 11 point half time lead quickly became a 25 point Hartford advantage in the second half.
The America East tournament starts Thursday and the Huskies face local rival Boston University.
