Former Northeastern Husky defensive standout, Dan McGillis, returned to Boston, Tuesday traded from the San Jose Sharks to the Boston Bruins.
McGillis, who is looked upon to boost a slumping Bruins defense, was traded earlier in the year from Philadelphia to San Jose and was briefly teamed up with last year’s Husky star Jim Fahey.
McGillis, who played from 1993-1996 with Northeastern, compiled 30 goals and 83 assists in those four years with the Huskies.
McGillis was a member of the Sharks for three months and was in the same organization with Fahey, Willie Levesque and Graig Mischler, all former NU Huskies.
