Reese Witherspoon straps on her Jimmy Cho shoes for the follow up to 2001’s “Legally Blonde.” Elle Woods is back, and she is taking Washington by storm. This time Elle is armed with a Harvard Law Degree and of course she has her adorable pup, Bruiser, by her side.
Elle is fired from her job when she proposes that her colleagues take on one of their major clients that promote testing cosmetics on animals. Elle has taken on this issue all for her best pal Bruiser, whose mother is being held captive in one of these labs.
“Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde” takes a humorous approach to a serious subject, and it works. While being chipper and sharing sorority rituals, Elle is able to get a serious message across without being boring. This movie proves to be better than the first, showing character development in Elle and a lot more of Bruiser in designer wear.
