As of Sept. 5, students have been able to vote for this year’s DogHouse t-shirt, a decision usually reserved for a select few. “Rather than having five people decide for the masses…we’ve decided to open up it up to the public,” current DogHouse leader and fourth year Health Science major Mike Davis said. “We want to make it a point to show that The DogHouse is a collective, and that every person, from a freshman new to campus to a senior about to graduate is a part of it.”

Provost to leave office after seven years

Over the summer, Northeastern President Joseph E. Aoun announced to the university’s faculty that Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Stephen W. Director, would be retiring after seven years of service. “I will be forever grateful for the way Steve approached his job as provost; he always acted with the greater interests of the university in mind,” Aoun said in an email to university faculty. “This is the mark of a true university citizen and a true leader.”

A student reported her roommate was smoking marijuana. Officers responded and spoke with both students in the hallway before being let in by the reported offender. The subject admitted to smoking marijuana with her two friends. The drugs (less than one ounce) and paraphernalia were later confiscated. A report was filed and action was referred to OSCCR.
