The First Church of Somerville celebrates its fifth year of putting on the Drag Gospel Festival, and took place in Boston on Friday, Oct. 16 to raise funds for the LGBT Asylum Task Force.
Attracting thousands upon thousands of people, the annual New England tradition of the Head of the Charles Regatta kicked off on Friday, Oct. 17. On Saturday, Olympians Mahé Drysdale and Gevvie Stone won the championship men's and women's singles, respectively. The Charles River was abuzz with crowds waiting to see races of the 10,000 rowers at the Regatta.
Northeastern faced off against Bentley University on Oct. 17 at Matthews Arena. Initially with an advantage of 3-0, Bentley gave up two goals but Northeastern was unable to come back.
The 10th annual Honk! Festival, which occurs over Columbus Day weekend every year, was kicked off with activists bands marching through downtown Boston on Friday, Oct. 9.
An exhibit called Pattern Walk now covers the columns outside the Boston Harbor Garage downtown. The exhibit started in September and will run until Nov. 16.
Boston Calling day three featured acts such as Nate Ruess, Misterwives, Daughter, Twin Shadow, Alabama Shakes and Hozier. This marks the end of the fall edition of Boston Calling for 2015.
The women's volleyball team played William & Mary on Sunday, Sept. 27, losing in a game of four sets. The respective scores were 18-25, 21-25, 25-23 and 23-25.
The first day of Boston Calling in Fall 2015 consisted of Gregory Alan Isakov, Of Monsters and Men and The Avett Brothers performing in that order on Friday, Sept. 25.
