Volleyball moves into second place

With two decisive wins over conference rivals Towson University and the University of Delaware this past weekend, the Northeastern volleyball team moved into second place in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) with a conference record of 6-1 and an overall record of 14-7.

Arian Foster, the Houston Texans All-Pro running back, is currently day-to-day after missing most of the his team’s Week 8 game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury. Foster being sidelined is problematic for Head Coach Gary Kubiak and Texans fans everywhere, but in the near future, it could be cause for concern for Foster’s investors, too.

Second-place finish at New England Championships best performance for cross country in decades

The Northeastern men’s cross country team kicked off postseason action in dominating fashion Saturday at Franklin Park in Dorchester. With a second place finish in the New England Championships, Northeastern earned the team’s best finish since the mid-1980s. The women’s team also had a strong race, finishing 21st overall.

The Northeastern men’s hockey team opened its 2013-14 season in near-perfect fashion. The Huskies went 2-0 against University of Alabama-Huntsville, taking Friday’s opener 9-1 and Saturday’s rematch 3-2.
