Jim Madigan, the head coach of Northeastern men's hockey, sent a letter of thanks to the thousands who filled Matthews Arena on Saturday to watch NU take down No. 1 UMass in overtime.
I wanted to reach out and thank each and every one of you for your tremendous enthusiasm at last Thursday’s game against Boston University. Your energy was palpable from the opening puck drop to the final second of overtime, on a Thursday no less!
This Beanpot championship belongs to you just as much as it belongs to our team. We did this together.
