Hey NU news,
I don’t know if you’re printing over the summer, but I have a story to pitch. If you’d like, I can write it, but perhaps you might do a better job of covering it.
Supreme’s has been a staple of college cheap eats for over 25 years- a must-eat for residents in Back Bay. Their subs are the best, the fries are even better, and their pizza is at least equal to other local fastfood joints.
Next door is the infamous Bombay Cafe- infamous if only for its under $6 Indian buffet during lunches. Who can beat $6 of all-you-can eat great Indian food?
The answer is 7-11, or at least that’s what the building owner thinks, who intends to sell the two parcels to the corporation, despite a convenience store located next door, a store 24 located a block away, a SECOND Store 24 a block and a half away, as well as CVS in the opposite direction.
How on earth does this serve the interests of the community? Sure, it would be great to get slurpies so close to where I live, but not at the expense of two of the best eateries in the Back Bay area. Supreme’s has begun a petition at least, but more needs to be done if these legendary locations will be rescued from exile.
Please let me know if this is a story of interest to you as soon as possible. Write about it, spread the word, start your own petitions. Save SUPREME’S AND BOMBAY!
