Founded in 1982, Notheastern’s College of Computer and Information Science was the first college in the nation dedicated to computer science. Although the college’s biggest program is the traditional computer science curriculum, it also offers graduate and undergraduate degrees in information sciences. Areas of study include computer program design, software design, computer networking and computation theory. Larry Finkelstein has been the dean since 1994 but has been a faculty member since 1983. According to the college’s website, nearly two-thirds of graduates are offered full-time positions upon graduation.
