Northeastern University opened its own food truck in 2011 named the Hungry Hungry Husky, or H3. The name came from seven students who won a naming contest when the truck was first announced. The truck accepts Husky Dollars, dining dollars, cash and credit cards and can most commonly be seen parked outside Snell Library. Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services designed the menu in collaboration with the naming contest winners. The truck opens each weekday at 11:30 a.m., and has a separate late night menu available Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. H3 has a full kitchen and averages 60 transactions per hour according to Chartwells.
