Monday, Oct. 20
4:57 p.m.
A Northeastern University (NU) staff member contacted the Northeastern University Police Department (NUPD) to report a group of skateboarders performing stunts on the steps of Snell Library. An officer responded and believed she had spoken to the same group several times. The students, who are not affiliated with the university, were banned from Northeastern property, and their information was collected.
6:13 p.m.
An NUPD officer was approached by a student reporting his Schwinn black racer 1980s bicycle was stolen from the International Village (IV) outdoor quad Sunday at approximately 9 p.m. The cable lock had been cut. A report was filed.
7:01 p.m.
An officer reported an unknown person had removed the exit sign on the sixth floor of 10 Coventry St. A work order was placed and a report was filed.
7:55 p.m.
An NU student reported his gray bicycle was stolen from the bike racks next to West Village E. The bicycle had previously been secured with a cable lock at the same location for approximately two weeks. A report was filed.
Tuesday, Oct. 21
7:59 p.m.
Staff in the West Village B Wollaston’s activated the alarm due to a shoplifting incident. A male in his forties had attempted to steal several sticks of deodorant but returned the products to the manager before running from the store toward Ruggles Street. NUPD checked the area and did not see the suspect. A report was filed.
Wednesday, Oct. 22
12:40 a.m.
A Northeastern employee reported that someone had stolen products from the tampon machine in the first floor women’s bathroom of Mugar Hall. A report was filed.
3:21 p.m.
The Boston Police Department (BPD) reported an armed robbery had just occurred at the intersection of Huntington Avenue and Gainsborough Street. The suspect was last seen fleeing towards Massachusetts Avenue. BPD reported tracking a cell phone to the area of 250 Huntington Ave., but officers but failed to locate the suspect. BPD assumed jurisdiction.
Thursday, Oct. 23
1:16 p.m.
An NU student reported to NUPD that that her laptop was stolen between Oct. 17 and Oct. 23 from a room in the Forsyth Building. A report was filed.
Friday, Oct. 24
9:13 a.m.
An NU student reported to NUPD that she had parked her car on Parker Street near West Village A at 6 p.m. with her black North Face backpack inside. When she returned to the vehicle at approximately 11 p.m. she noticed the backpack was gone. The student reported that her rear passenger door does not lock consistently and believes someone could have accessed the car that way. A report was filed.
11:54 a.m.
An NU student reported to NUPD that someone made illegal purchases on her TD bank account. The majority of the purchases were made in the Massachusetts area. A report was filed.
11:08 p.m.
An NUPD officer reported speaking to a male subject not affiliated with the university for vandalizing a tree behind a daycare on Hemenway Street. The subject was sent on his way and will receive a court summons at a later date.
Saturday, Oct. 25
12:30 a.m.
A Resident Assistant (RA) on duty in White Hall reported a broken window in the first floor common room. NUPD responded and spoke with the RA who believed a college-age male threw a rock from the alleyway. An officer checked the area and found no sign of the suspect. A report was filed.
3:21 p.m.
An NU student reported that on Oct. 23 between 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. her Chanel sunglasses, worth $600, were stolen from the first floor computer lab of Snell Library when left unattended. A report was filed.
7:34 p.m.
An officer reported finding a male NU student who was intoxicated and unable to walk on his own. The officer requested Emergency Medical Services (EMS), which transported the student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Sunday, Oct. 26
1:43 a.m.
A student reported loud music coming from a room in Davenport A. Officers responded and spoke with the resident who was cooperative and turned down the music for the night.
3:04 a.m.
An NUPD officer requested EMS for an intoxicated Northeastern student in the upper platform of Ruggles Station. The student was conscious but not alert and was sent on his way when EMS found it unnecessary to transport him.
