As a Senator, there is no denying my disappointment in former Vice President George Gottschalk’s alleged actions. I am also not surprised that The News has placed a negative spin on the situation. The News said in last week’s editorial, “we are disappointed in SGA, and more importantly, we have lost our trust in them.”
If the “we” in that sentence represents The News, this produces no surprise given the history between the two organizations. If the “we” is meant to convey the attitudes of the student body, The News is making an assumption, with questionable reasoning, to instill negative effects on future direct elections.
