Elevator breakdown under investigation

University officials will conduct an investigation to determine whether the breakdown of the Curry Student Center (CSC) elevator Saturday was a violation of the university’s Student Code of Conduct, said Jim Ferrier, director of Northeastern Division of Public Safety (NUPD).

The elevator stopped between the first and second floors of the CSC after more than 30 rushes and brothers from Northeastern’s chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon piled in. They were on their way up to room 346 to conduct individual interviews with the rushes before the brothers of the fraternity made bids.
