“Getting Around Town: Four Centuries of Mapping Boston in Transit,” an exhibit at the Leventhal Map & Education Center in the Boston Public Library, dives into various aspects of the long history of transit in the city. Examining everything from early navigation networks to unrealized transportation possibilities, the exhibition throws visitors into the long and complicated reasons behind why Boston’s transit is the way that it is.
The exhibit opened in September 2023 and will close April 27.
