It is unfortunate that many newspapers and other media are declaring Barack Obama as the first black or African-American US presidential winner. Instead, Obama is a biracial person because his loving mother and her parents are Caucasian.
Kenyan-born Barack Obama Sr. divorced Ann Dunham when Obama was 2 years old and met him only once more when he was 11. In addition, Obama Sr.’s parents never gave anything toward Obama’s infancy and youth.
Meanwhile, Dunham and her parents brought daily love and sacrifice for Obama during his childhood and adulthood. They provided Obama with values and opportunities, unlike his father.
Obama is a biracial man just like thousands if not millions of other people in the United States because he was created by two races … not one.
Calling Obama a black man blatantly and shamefully ignores his mother’s and grandparent’s race, heritage and values, which were the primary contributors toward his life’s accomplishments.
