Situation 1 A student is scheduled for a January-June co-op, but decides to change to a July-December co-op. What does he need to do?
1) Meet with his co-op advisor to determine if this is feasible. 2) Check with his academic advisor to make sure that changing his class/co-op pattern will not disrupt any class sequences. 3) Meet with his financial aid advisor to have the distribution of his aid adjusted according to his new attendance pattern. Failure to do this in advance could reduce his ability to receive full entitlement for some types of federal aid, such as the Federal Stafford Loan and Pell Grant. 4) If the student’s need for campus housing changes, he must inform the Department of Residential Life and inquire about housing availability upon his return. Information regarding housing changes and cancellations is available in the Guide to the Housing Selection Process.
Situation 2 A student on co-op decides to take a leave of absence. What does she need to do?

Otherwise, she must begin repayment of her federal Stafford Loan.
