To the coffee lovers on campus, our prayers have been answered. Finally Dunkin’ Donuts has come to Northeastern.
To those of you who happen to be from New England, you are fully aware of the weight of this coffee chain coming to campus. To those of you who are not from New England and may be more familiar with Krispy Kreme or even the likes of Starbucks, you need to convert to Dunkin’ Donuts like your fellow New England classmates.
Not surprisingly, NU students voted D’D’s best coffee on campus. This vote symbolizes our appreciation for the men and women in their magenta shirts, black visors and pleated khakis — we love you.
To those who slave over the bagels, scones, muffins and donuts every morning, we tip our hats. To those who make pot after pot of hot coffee, you make our mornings complete, you kept our hands warm throughout this brutal New England winter.
In the summer you will undoubtedly keep us cool with your crisp and delicious iced coffee. Our days will never be dull with your assortment of coffee and fruit coladas, though our stomach, hips and thighs may not be so appreciative, you hit the spot on a lazy day in July.
The building that houses this coffee mecca, once was called “the classroom building,” then officially named Shillman Hall, but now it is known simply as “the building with Dunkin’ Donuts in it.”
Bill Mallon, the business manager at NU, should be awarded the Nobel Prize, for what, I’m not really sure, but I love him for bringing this franchise to our neighborhood.
Long live Dunkin’ Donuts!
