Hazel Sive joins Northeastern from MIT.

Northeastern appoints new Dean of the College of Science

Hazel Sive will become the new Dean of the College of Science, according to an email from Provost James C. Bean  to Northeastern faculty Wednesday. Her appointment will become effective Jun. 1, 2020.
Students received zeros on their assignments and were in danger of failing the course if another instance of plagiarism was discovered.

NU rises to third most international students in the U.S.

Northeastern University has the third-highest number of international students in the nation, according to statistics released by the Institute of International Education, or IIE. Northeastern hosts 16,075 international students in total, falling behind New York University and the University of Southern California. 
SGA passed two resolutions creating positions for an Executive Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as well as a Vice President for Sustainability.

The Student Government Association, or SGA, passed five resolutions, two of them creating new positions on both the executive board and the cabinet, at a full body session Nov. 25.
The Town Hall was held in the Center for Intercultural Engagement.

NSCC discusses anti-racism education at Nov. town hall

The Northeastern Student of Color Caucus, or NSCC, held a town hall meeting Nov. 18 where members shared their experiences facing racism and discrimination from their classmates. 
An alert was sent to all NU students at 1:08 p.m. informing students of a “potential hazardous materials incident in Egan Research Building” and instructing them to avoid the area.

Starting in January 2020, Northeastern will begin to move away from student email accounts with “Husky” in the address and will switch to Outlook.
