The College of Arts, Media and Design, or CAMD, hosted the official launch event for the Center for Design Tuesday evening. The event showcased some of the interdisciplinary research that the center has worked on.

Faculty senate recommends increasing faculty wages by 4% to improve U.S. News and World Report Ranking

In a bi-monthly meeting Jan. 15, members of Northeastern’s faculty senate approved a resolution that would raise faculty salaries by 4 percent, a move intended to improve Northeastern’s U.S. News and World Report ranking, which could also raise tuition for students.
Northeastern filed a proposal with the city to use 149 rooms in the Midtown Hotel as student housing.

Northeastern first used the Midtown Hotel for student housing in the spring semester of 2018. Since then, the hotel has been home to more N.U.in students, as well as first-years in the ContiNUe program, transfer students and upperclassmen returning from co-op or study abroad.

In SGA’s weekly senate meeting Jan. 13, Associate Vice President of Engagement and Experience Marcus Robinson met with senators and discussed the transition of students’ email addresses from G Suite to Microsoft Office 365.
The Northeastern community responded swiftly to the situation, with over 100 students and local activists showing up on Centennial Common Tuesday night to protest the deportation.
