Column: Northeastern doesn’t prioritize student wellness

November 30, 2017

Op-ed: Proposed tax reform is bad for Black Americans

November 30, 2017
Many government operatives, foundations, universities and corporate-sector leaders have aligned and seemingly conspired to destroy the progress made by black people over the past 152 years under the guise of tax reform. The proposed Tax Reform Plan will destroy Black America.

Editorial: We can do more to combat media illiteracy

The Editorial Board November 30, 2017
Not everyone will become part of the media and not everyone will respect the fields involved in creating media. Regardless, everyone will consume it. There should be systems in place to ensure that we consume news it in a way that is smart, productive and helps foster communication.

The Editorial Board November 16, 2017
It is unclear how much of the endowment is invested in EnCap or if the university currently has other offshore investments. These questions aren’t answered by the university’s statement. It is time the university takes seriously and openly addresses the requests of the activist groups on campus because, in the end, they were right about what the administration was hiding.

Editorial: All forms of discrimination must be addressed

The Editorial Board November 12, 2017
The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights lists laws that prohibit discrimination based on race, age and disability. Yet it’s Title IX that universities focus all of their transparency efforts and in doing so information about other injustices on campus slip through the cracks.

Column: It happened for a reason

November 9, 2017
When something incomprehensibly awful happens, it can be tempting to believe that serendipitous forces are orchestrating the happenings of the universe; that an unknown power is pulling puppet strings and strategically scripting the progression of our lives.
