Freshmen swimmers garner first collegiate wins

Freshmen Sophie Browne and Amanda Liew both nabbed their first collegiate win to boost the Northeastern swimming and diving team over the University of Rhode Island in a 162.5-110.5 victory Saturday, Feb. 2 in Kingston, R.I.

Track & field nabs record-setting performances at Yale

The Northeastern track teams traveled to Yale University in New Haven, Conn. this weekend to compete in the Giegengack Invitational at Coxe Cage. Athletes on both the men’s and women’s teams recorded new personal bests and qualified for the New England and Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) competitions.

Roy leads Huskies into Beanpot final with hat trick

Husky rookie Kevin Roy picked the right day to get his first collegiate hat trick, leading Northeastern to a first-round Beanpot win over crosstown rivals Boston University Terriers, 3-2. With 29 points on the season, Roy broke former Husky Brodie Reid's freshman scoring record.

Lee hits 1,000 points in victory over Drexel

Men’s hockey falls to UNH at Matthews Arena, 3-1

A three-game winless streak continued for the Northeastern men's hockey team Friday night with a 3-1 loss to University of New Hampshire (16-6-2 overall, 11-5-1 Hockey East). Despite 48 shots from the Huskies (7-13-3 overall, 4-11-3 Hockey East) and 24 saves from senior goaltender Chris Rawlings, it wasn't enough to overthrow the nationally ranked No. 3 Wildcats.

Women’s hockey wins two straight

With injuries and under-performance plaguing the women’s hockey team this season, the coaching staff has had to shift lines and switch goaltenders, but the changes paid off for the Huskies with two straight wins against Women’s Hockey East Association opponents last week.

Track and field teams place high in Joe Donahue games

The Northeastern University men's and women's track teams hosted the second annual Joe Donahue Games at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Roxbury on Friday. Both Husky squads had successful meets as the women’s team dominated the competition and tied for first place out of 12 teams while the men’s team finished third out of 13 teams.

Schegoleva sets three records

Sophomore Anna Schegoleva set three pool records, leading the Northeastern swimming and diving team to a third place finish of seven teams in the Dartmouth Invitational Friday and Saturday in White River Junction, Vt. Dartmouth College and Boston University finished first and second, respectively.
