The troupe moves its green dragon, nicknamed “Shrek 2,” in a jagged formation to the beats of a drum. Each dragon’s colors represented their different powers; for example, the green dragon symbolized new life and a good harvest.

This semester, the troupe was able to perform an eye-dotting ceremony, which is traditionally held before a lion or dragon’s first dance to bestow the equipment with the power of providing protection, good luck, health and prosperity.
