The last-second play that head coach Bill Coen drew up with 18 seconds left in last night’s game turned into as big of a frenzy as the season-record 3,463 Matthews Arena crowd. After a near-turnover and a Jonathan Lee pass, the ball ended up in the hands of freshman David Walker.

Men’s basketball perfect on the road in CAA play

The Northeastern Huskies men’s basketball team has proven itself to be the top club in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) during this regular season. But, what has gone overlooked by some are their many incredible performances on the road. In fact, the Huskies are a perfect 7-0 in CAA play away from Matthews Arena thus far this year.

Men’s basketball takes down the College of William & Mary in double overtime

With a 15-point lead at halftime, the men’s basketball team found themselves only leading by three points at the three-minute mark, allowing the College of William & Mary to score 49 points in the second half. The Tribe’s 19 points on the first half were the fewest allowed by Northeastern this season, but the Tribe’s second-half tear kept the Huskies on their toes in the 95-91 double overtime victory at Matthews Arena last night.
