Since Greg Cronin took the helm of the Northeastern men's hockey program in 2005, his squads have mustered just two wins over Boston University in 22 tries. The reasons are all explicable. The trophy cases and championship banners speak to BU’s potential recruits. So it's no wonder that we've developed an inferiority complex over the years.

Entering the 2010-11 season, the men’s hockey team’s strength was supposed to be its offense. The Huskies had a solid core of returning forwards, with a few talented freshmen joining the ranks. The defense, however, was the question mark. Before the season began, head coach Greg Cronin said if the defense played well, NU should see some success.

There’s something about those last 20 minutes that the men’s hockey team just can’t figure out. “To be perfectly honest, we’re trying to figure that out ourselves,” said sophomore goaltender Chris Rawlings, who has stopped more shots (193) than all but two Division I goalies in the NCAA. “It’s a lot of things. When it comes to the third period, I don’t know. I really don’t know what to say.”
