I am an alumni from the Class of 1989. I was also a Resident Assistant on campus for three years. I’m sorry that your fees went up to attract bigger acts to your Springfest. But you acted like small little children and now you are getting punished for it.
Even if you weren’t involved in the violence that erupted, if you were there on campus, you could have tried to stop it. People’s property was damaged, a man was killed and for what? Because you were too drunk, and obtained a mob mentality over a football game.
Come on, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. As for the money you paid, do you deserve it back? No. Instead, it should be contributed to a community-based project.
If you learn anything at Northeastern, it’s that it’s not a regular college. It prepares you for the “real” world. So learn by the actions of a small minority of immature students and deal with it.
