Drumlin Farm’s Tales of the Night This old farm (208 Great South Rd., Rte. 117, in Lincoln) offers the essentials of Halloween: haunted hayrides and witch’s brew. The two-day madness begins Thursday. Tickets are $13; for more information call (781) 259-2200.
Castle of the Damned Hammond Castle (80 Hesperus Ave. in Gloucester) provides a guided tour through the medieval-style castle which is known to be haunted. The tour is so frightening, in fact, that children are not allowed to partake in it. Tickets are $8 for students; call (781) 853-0583.
Fright Fest 2004 Six Flags New England (1623 Main St. in Agawam) offers something to terrify their patrons besides the rides. Thrills include Houdini’s Ghost Town, Nightmare Island and Terrorvision Circus. Also, shows and performances are offered, including Dead Legends Live with Elvis, Jim Morrison and more. Things That Go Bump in the Night The Farmer’s Museum in Cooperstown (Lake Road, Route 80) presents a guided flashlight tour of the village’s historic surroundings on Friday and Saturday. Beacon Hill with a BOO! Walking Tour Within blocks of several notable cemeteries, Beacon Hill lends its resources to a stroll this weekend. Beginning from the State House steps at 5:30 p.m., walkers will be treated to some of the area’s spookiest sites. Tickets are $15; call (617) 367-2345.
