The Northeastern women’s crew team fell to both Syracuse and the University of Pennsylvania Saturday on the Charles River in the 26th rowing of the Orange Cup.
The Orange, who finished with a time of 6:31.9, set a record for the annual event.
UPenn, which led halfway through the race, came in at 6:33.0, as Syracuse broke a tie at the 1500 mark and with 30 strokes to go secured its fifth Orange Cup.
Northeastern, which has won 12 Cups (Penn is second with nine), clocked in at 6:39.8, while the University of Massachusetts finished last with a time of 6:40.6.
The Huskies (3-4) next travel to Orchard Beach Lagoon this weekend to face off against Columbia University and the U.S. Naval Academy.
