Paws the Husky is Northeastern University’s mascot, seen often at sports games and other university sponsored events. Paws was introduced in 2003 and replaced the student-elected Mr. and Mrs. Husky as a more athletic mascot. Students can apply and try out for the role. He is joined at more prestigious events by the university’s live mascot, King Husky VIII.
