May 21, 2014
Entry of the Week: Thursday, May 15, 6:27 p.m. A Northeastern student entered NUPD headquarters to report her bicycle might have been stolen from outside Curry Student Center in the past 10 days.

May 7, 2014
Entry of the week: Friday, April 25, 1:33 a.m. A male Northeastern student attempted to swipe into International Village claiming that he had lived there all semester. He was not listed on the building’s roster. He then stated he was going to “Stetson” but was found later in his West Village A apartment. The student had previously not admitted to drinking but later admitted that he had provided the responding officers with a fake ID as he was not of legal age. The fake ID was then confiscated.

April 17, 2014
Thursday, Aug. 29, 9:08 a.m. Facilities reported a man bathing in the fountain near the Egan Research Center. The man was last seen walking into Shillman Hall. Officers spoke to the man, who is not affiliated with the university. Officers gave him a pair of socks and boots and sent him on his way.

April 10, 2014
Entry of the week: Saturday, March 29, 12:03 a.m. A student reported men burning jerseys in the alleyway behind 27 Symphony Rd. Officers responded and spoke to the subject, who was disgruntled over a sports team draft. No fire or smoke was in the area upon the officers’ arrival.

Entry of the week: Saturday, March 29, 12:17 a.m. The word “help” was written on a wall in White Hall. Officers determined the word was written in either blood or chocolate, and that there was no one in the area.

Entry of the week: Tuesday, March 18, 8 a.m. Students for Justice in Palestine and other groups supporting them staged an orderly protest on Huntington Avenue near Krentzman Quad, with approximately 250 attendees.

March 20, 2014
Entry of the week: Sunday, March 16, 5:09 a.m. A man on the second floor of Snell Library was reported to have an “altered mental status” and was vomiting. Officers spoke to the student, who had just been reported as missing by a roommate. The student was escorted to their residence.

Crime Log: February 24 – March 10

March 14, 2014
Entry of the week: Sunday, March 2, 1:28 p.m. An officer reported a woman inside of an NU recycling truck attempting to collect bottles and cans. The officer asked the female to exit the truck but the woman would not. The woman was banned from all Northeastern property.

Crime Log: February 17 – February 23

February 27, 2014
Entry of the week: Sunday, Feb. 23, 12:36 a.m. A student living on Westland Avenue reported his downstairs neighbor, a tall male in his mid 20s, was attempting to gain access to his apartment. The neighbor was throwing garbage and water at the door to the apartment. The student reported that one of his roommates got into an argument with the man the night before, and that the man also tried to gain access to their apartment at that time. NUPD and BPD responded, and the residents of the apartment, all students, said they no longer felt safe in their apartment. Residential Life (ResLife) was unable to find a safe room for the students, but they were all able to find alternate places to stay for the night.

Entry of the week: Saturday, Feb. 15, 11:45 a.m. Officers received a report about white paint over the mouth of the statue in front of Shillman Hall. Officers requested the camera footage from the front of the building.

Crime Log: February 3 – February 10

February 13, 2014
Entry of the week: Friday, Feb. 7, 3:11 a.m. A caller from Allied trash removal reported a man asleep inside his vehicle in the Ryder Lot. The vehicle was on and in drive, and was moving forward every time the man moved. Officers reported the driver was intoxicated and unresponsive, and had vomited in the car. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were requested, and the man was woken and the car placed into park. The driver, a student, was transported to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and the car was towed.

February 5, 2014
Entry of the Week: Wednesday, Jan. 19, 11:27 p.m. Someone reported the smell of marijuana coming from a room in Speare Hall. Officers spoke to two students in the room, who had placed a towel under the door, and whose eyes were “bloodshot and glassy.” No drugs were found.
