Letter: NWFZ is best Iran solution

May 8, 2013
Always missing from these discussions is a simpler way to end any Iranian nuclear threat: Create a nuclear weapons free zone (NWFZ) in the Middle East.

Column: Violent horror, followed by the triumph of humanity

April 18, 2013
When the bombs went off, Patriots’ Day took on a new meaning. It wasn’t a novel day of remembrance of days passed, heroes in tri-cornered hats fighting an old war on old streets. It became a dark, gritty day.

Editorial: A senseless act, a world of hope

April 18, 2013
Sir Isaac Newton would say every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Monday’s devastating events suggest the same cannot be said for mankind; in the face of tragedy, the people of Boston showed such horrific events have not an equal reaction, but one that is much greater.

All Hail: Farewell to NU

April 18, 2013
Fare thee well, Huntington Avenue. Adieu, Northeastern. See ya later, Shillman Cat. After five years at Northeastern, it is time to move on. I know, however, that the Northeastern I am leaving is not the same one I arrived at as a freshman.

Letter: Hit too close to home

April 18, 2013
Last week, I was in a beautiful event room in a beautiful Parisian hotel, telling newly accepted international students how picturesque and perfect Northeastern University is. Editorial: Northeastern action against Adidas shows global leadership

April 10, 2013
Northeastern truly espoused its role as a global university last month when it announced it was cutting ties with Adidas over the athletic apparel company’s role in workers’ rights violations overseas. By doing so, the university proved that its global reach is not limited to academics, but includes Northeastern’s values as well.

Column: Five glorious years

April 10, 2013
April is here, and for most students, that simply means finals, lots of rain and temperamental weather as we slowly make the change over to summer. For me and my other senior class members, however, this month is the last time many of us will set foot inside a university. It is an exciting and nerve-wracking time, where everything and nothing seems possible. As I reflect on my five glorious years at Northeastern, I guess I can say I learned a thing or two.

Letter: SGA has communications problems

April 10, 2013
While I initially believed that this decision was a mistake by The Huntington News and a failure of the paper to report on matters important to the Northeastern community, after putting in additional thought, I realized that the true failure lies within SGA. If SGA does something for the student body, but no one knows about it, did it ever happen?

Letter: SJP protests misguided

April 10, 2013
After the soldiers were introduced, more than half of the students started chanting "No justice, no peace!" and other slogans. They then ran out, not before the group photographer yelling behind him in Hebrew "the Israeli Army only wants war!" We sat there in silence for a moment. I was shocked.
