Entry of the week: Wednesday, Nov. 6, 3:02 p.m.
A student reported that on Sunday, he was at Tavern in the Square in Allston, when he was engaged in conversation with another man. The student said the man told him he was also a student, and asked if the student could cash a check for $460 because banks were closed at that time of night. The student gave the man $300 and the man gave him the check. When the student attempted to cash the check at Bank of America, he was informed that the check was fake. The student was also advised to file a report with the Boston Police Department (BPD).
Monday, Nov. 4
2:20 p.m.
An officer stopped a man for public urination on Forsyth Street. The man was sent on his way with a warning.
3:30 p.m.
A staff member in the admissions office in West Village F reported her co-worker was upset. The co-worker had received a call stating that her brother was being held hostage and would be released upon payment of $2,000. Officers responded and reported that the staff member’s brother is safe and the call was an attempt to extort money.
3:37 p.m.
A staff member in 140 The Fenway reported her cell phone and wallet were stolen from her unattended office.
Tuesday, Nov. 5
11:59 a.m.
An officer reported that while conducting an inventory of a wallet that had been turned in, she discovered a fake Connecticut driver’s license belonging to a student. The license was confiscated.
4:45 p.m.
A student reported his bike stolen from the racks by the west entrance to Renaissance Parking Garage. The bike is described as a black GMC road bike.
10:03 p.m.
A student reported she was being bothered by two other students, with whom she had recently ended a friendship. An officer spoke with both male students and advised them not to contact the female student again. No assault had taken place.
Wednesday, Nov. 6
5:21 p.m.
An officer stopped and spoke to two students along Forsyth Street, one whom was underage. Two six-packs of beer were confiscated from the underage student.
7:36 p.m.
An officer checked on a group of men hanging out near the basketball courts in Carter Playground along Columbus Avenue. A small amount of marijuana was confiscated.
10:47 p.m.
A student reported his bike was stolen from the front of Davenport Commons B. The bike is described as a specialized silver road bike, and was secured by a cable lock.
Thursday, Nov. 7
12:41 p.m.
A Resident Assistant (RA) in 204 Hemenway St. reported that while conducting room inspections, she discovered a small amount of marijuana inside an apartment. Officers confiscated the marijuana.
1:24 p.m.
A manager of Wollaston’s Market in the Marino Center detained a man for shoplifting. Officers spoke to the student from Wollaston’s Market on campus. The student will also be referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (OSCCR).
4:34 p.m.
A student reported that someone had ripped the passenger side windshield wiper off of his vehicle in Renaissance Parking Garage.
Friday, Nov. 8
1:19 a.m.
An RA in Speare Hall reported a student was drunk and vomiting in the second floor men’s restroom on the east side of the building. Officers reported the underage student was conscious but not alert. Boston Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported the student to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
2:12 a.m.
A student reported she believed she was being followed by a man on Huntington Avenue. Officers spoke to the student, who stated the man did not say anything to her, or make any threats. Officers also stopped a man matching the description at the Massachusetts Avenue bus stop, who stated he was not following the student, and was then sent on his way. A personal safety escort was provided for the student from College Convenience to 780 Columbus Ave.
10:03 a.m.
A student reported that on Thursday, Nov. 7 he left his property unattended in Snell Library for two hours, and when he returned his computer mouse and watch were gone.
1:05 p.m.
A student reported that his bike was stolen from the North Lot. The bike is described as a silver Trek hybrid.
7:51 p.m.
A student reported her bike was stolen from outside Snell Library. The bike is described as a red and silver Wal-Mart brand mountain bike.
11:48 p.m.
A student reported his roommate was lying in a puddle of vomit and was semi-conscious. Officers responded, and requested EMS. The student was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Saturday, Nov. 9
12:05 a.m.
A student in West Village E reported people in the room next to his were playing loud music and smoking marijuana. He stated the smoke was coming through his vents. Officers spoke to the resident of the room, who agreed to turn down the music for the night. There was no odor of marijuana or any drug use in the room.
12:18 a.m.
A student reported a loud party in Douglass Park. Officers spoke to the resident, also a student, who turned down the music and sent his guests home for the night.
1:33 a.m.
A student reported another student was drunk and vomiting in the women’s restroom on the fourth floor of Kerr Hall. Officers reported the student was conscious and alert, and was not in need of medical attention. The student admitted to drinking earlier in the evening.
1:56 a.m.
Tufts Medical Center Police reported two underage female students were transported to Tufts Medical Center via ambulance from an unknown location. The girls were intoxicated and had taken some unknown pills. Officers spoke to the students, who stated they were at a club named Rumor when they took an unknown white pill after drinking, and became sick. The students did not know what the pill was, and could not provide any further information. A fake California driver’s license was confiscated from one of the students.
2:10 a.m.
The Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) reported an underage student was transported from their campus to Mount Auburn Hospital for being intoxicated. HUPD stated the student consumed alcohol while taking antibiotics and began vomiting.
2:20 a.m.
An officer requested Boston EMS for an intoxicated woman who was conscious but not alert. EMS transported the woman from St. Botolph Street to Tufts Medical Center.
2:24 a.m.
A student reported her bike was stolen from Huntington and Massachusetts avenues. The bike is described as a yellow 10 speed.
5:39 p.m.
A student reported he was the victim of an assault that took place the night before at 204 Tremont St. by another student. BPD responded for the report.
Sunday, Nov. 10
12:27 a.m.
A student reported a loud group in the rear of 39 Cunard St. Officer spoke to a group of students on the third floor fire escape, who were sent inside and agreed to keep the noise level down.
1:00 a.m.
An RA in Davenport Commons A reported an odor of marijuana near one of the rooms. Officers spoke with the four student residents, who were smoking tobacco out of a hookah. ResLife staff were informed of the incident as a housing violation.
11:47 a.m.
A student walked into the Northeastern public safety division headquarters to retrieve her wallet that had been turned into the lost and found. Upon receiving the wallet, she discovered $60 had been stolen from it.
Monday, Nov. 11
12:37 a.m.
A resident of 97 St. Stephen St. reported loud music coming from the building. Officers spoke to the student resident, who agreed to turn down the music.
