In the 30th minute, Goddard dribbled the ball up the right side of the field before sending a lob pass into the box. Graduate student defender David Adegborioye ran onto the ball and fired a side-foot volley into the top left corner of the net, doubling Hofstra’s lead, 2-0.
The Huskies finished the first half being narrowly outshot 6-5.

The first effort was saved by graduate student goalkeeper Tobias Jahn before senior forward Daniel Burko slid the rebound into the back of the net.
Northeastern got one back five minutes later. Sophomore midfielder Ethan Kang drew a foul 10 yards outside of the 18-yard box and fired his shot into the top left corner of the goal, 3-1.
