On May 17, Northeastern’s men’s crew competed in the Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamound in Worcester, Mass. The team took third in the 1V8 heavyweight final in a time of 5:57.501, falling only to Harvard University and Princeton University.
In the 2V8 heavyweight, the team took fourth in a time of 5:44.584 behind Princeton, Harvard and Syracuse University, who took first through third, respectively.
The team took first in the petite final for the 3V8 heavyweight, finishing in a time of 5:58.378. The team also took second place in the 4V1 petite final in a time of 6:10.474, behind Brown University.
The men did not compete in the varsity 4s, nor in any of the lightweight competitions.
Northeastern’s men will be back in action at the IRA championships in Gold River, Calif. May 29 to 31.
