Standing outside Holmes Hall, Ann Livermore’s love of color was apparent. From her hair band to her tank, all the way down to her flip flops, she coordinated her outfit to fit the blue hue that was visible throughout her ensemble. This matching activity is one of Livermore’s style staples that caught the eye of the Northeastern News. Livermore is a 19 year-old journalism major from Wilerham, Massachusetts. She enjoys sleeping, laying out on grassy knolls and sailing the seven seas with her roommate Priya.
Northeastern News: What are your essentials when you get dressed in the morning?
Ann Livermore: A hair tie around the wrist, I like everything to match.
The News: What is your ideal outfit?
Livermore: Sex pants, which are just like they sound: low rise, tight jeans that fit in all the right places. I love funky, cutesy t-shirts with lots of ribbons and lace. That is the mystique of Ann, I call it Pirate/Baby Ann.
The News: What influences you to dress this way?
Livermore: I would say, fashion magazines and what people wear on the street.
The News: Where do you shop?
Livermore: I am a Forever 21 or H’M girl, but I love the Gap and Banana Republic.
The News: How do you describe yourself, style wise?
Livermore: I don’t restrict myself. I love old school, 80’s athletic clothes.
The News: Do you have a favorite look for this summer season?
Livermore: I love small heeled, classy sandals with straps. I don’t like big chunky shoes anymore, I have to get rid of them. I really like anything with ribbons, bows … frilly stuff.
The News: Reading about the fall collections that came out in February, what future looks would you like to incorporate into your wardrobe for fall?
Livermore: It’s all about the neutrals and earth tones for me.
