Freshman forward Ty Francis will be entering the transfer portal, according to his agent, Nate Blue, who announced his departure April 6 on X.
The announcement makes Francis the sixth player the men’s basketball program has lost since the end of the season, which ended with a 7-24 overall record. In his solo season, Francis played in 25 games, starting five of them. In his freshman year campaign, he scored 109 points, collected 10 steals, 12 blocks and grabbed 63 rebounds.
“I’m grateful to my teammates and Coach Coen for pushing me to the best I could be, day in and day out,” Fracis wrote in the post. “After much consideration, I have decided to enter my name in the transfer portal ahead of my Sophomore season. I am excited and grateful for my next chapter.”
So far, the Huskies have lost freshman guard Xavier Abreu, sophomore guard Luca Soroa Schaller, junior guards JB Frankel and William Kermoury, as well as senior guard LA Pratt.
